Kawana Health Precinct
The project includes the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Sunshine Coast Health Institute, and Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital. It is forecasted to contribute a substantial $3.2 billion to the overall economy of the Sunshine Coast Region and generate more than 3,000 jobs annually during its development phase. Proposed Light Rail
Currently in progress are plans for a light rail system connecting Caloundra, Kawana, Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland, and the Maroochydore City Centre. The goal at this point is to finalize the project by 2025.
